Seattle Children’s is an innovative leader in pediatric health and wellness through its unsurpassed quality, clinical care, relentless spirit of inquiry, and compassion for children and their families.

The Directory is a volunteer project published since 1943 by the Mercer Island Guild of Seattle Children’s to benefit the hospital. It contains the 98040 residential addresses and phone numbers as well as local area business listings and advertisements.

Each year we publish the Mercer Island Directory to benefit Seattle Children’s Uncompensated Care Fund, and would love YOUR help. Begun in 1928, we’re Seattle Children’s second longest running guild and consistently rank among the top ten in contributions. Since we began, we’re proud to have donated more than $4,000,000. Mercer Island Orthopedic Guild was established in 1928 with 15 women interested in support the Children's Orthopedic Hospital. As early as 1937, Mercer Islander, Warren Upper printed and sold Mercer Island directories.
​
By 1943, the Mercer Island Orthopedic Guild created an all island directory and donated the proceeds to the hospital.
​
Today, the Mercer Island Guild continues to work with the community creating an annual Mercer Island Directory containing residential and local business information. More than 7,000 directories are distributed each year. All the proceeds and donations directly support Seattle Children’s Hospital.
